My beautiful, lovely and thoughtful friend Amy surprised me with these beautiful, lovely and thoughtful flowers for my birthday. I decided to use them as an excuse to play around with lighting this morning.
I'm finding it challenging to do this project on the days that I'm working, but I take comfort in the fact that at this stage of the project I'm not settling for the kind of throwaway shots I would have taken at the beginning of the year. My standards are improving, even on the days when it's hard to find time to shoot.
