For the last couple of years I've been a curmudgeon about the holidays - a lot has gone on in my life, and I just haven't gotten into enjoying the fall events the way I had in the past. So when my husband told me he was going to put out the Halloween decorations, I just kind of shrugged it off. Especially since he and I never really agree on decorations - I get creeped out by the scary ones that he prefers, and he thinks the happy decorations that I like are juvenile.
Nonetheless, there are a few decorations that we agree upon, one of which is this green witch. It's a bit scarier than what I would normally favor, but since Wicked is one of my favorite musicals of all time, I enjoy seeing Elphaba guarding my front door. I didn't realize how much I had missed her until she made her seasonal debut over the weekend.
Normally I do at least a little editing of my photos, but today, except for changing the image's orientation, I did nothing. I like how the light catches the witch's eye and the overall composition, so I'm leaving the image as is for a change.
Thank you Kerri :)
Thanks Michelle :)

Thanks Warren. I prefer it when the little kids aren't scared to come up our walk (like they were when the Grim Reaper was greeting them).
