I always wanted to be the house on the block that gave out full sized candy bars for Halloween. A couple of years ago we started being that house. I love the kids' reactions :)
Wow, Sharon, I am just like you, the only problem, I live where there just are not that many kids, the boonies, so then I am left with all the full size bars, which then turns into me eating them, which then turns into my weight watchers issue, oh well, but I just remember as a kid how cool I thought it was that some folks gave out huge full size candy bars, we used to think they were 'rich', lol
I don't know if we're rich. But when we gave out the little bars I used to give out two or three of them, so in the end it's not that much more money to buy the full size bars. We put the leftovers in the downstairs freezer - they tend to last for a while down there. Out of sight and out of mind :)
Okay...I am officially a 10 year old kid....I ate about a dozen of those kit kats last night and threw up...I was sick all night...what is up with our neighborhood....I got a ton of left over candy. I think we had maybe 30 kids show up, some without costumes, what is up with that???? Other's had the worst costumes I was going to take pictures but it was just to pathetic I didn't bother to take the camera out....I think next year I am shutting off the lights and pretending I'm not home...Sorry for the gripe but I'm sure you know what I mean!
One nice thing about having a monthly Weight Watchers weigh-in on the first of the month is that it keeps me out of the candy on Halloween ;)
My feeling has always been that I'd rather the teens trick-or-treat than otherwise cause mischief. And most of the teens were actually well dressed and very polite! Except for one little brat who saw my husband's football jersey and yelled, "The Jets suck!" I told the kid to give me back the chocolate; I didn't actually make him, but the thought of that scared him enough that he kept his mouth shut after that.
There was one little girl who very proudly announced, "I'm a leopard!" Truly adorable :)
Thanks Kerri - Happy Halloween to you, too!

I know - I'm not sure why.
I can buy Aero bars in one of my local supermarkets - I love them. But when I go to Bermuda, my favorite souvenir is the Cadbury Dream bar :)

Thanks. And yes, I can't think of anyone who doesn't enjoy Kit Kats :)
