The 9th/12th RoyalLancers march through Leicester city centre after returning home following a 6 month tour of Afghanistan. The Regiment received the Freedom of the City, although I'm not entirely sure what the local link to the regiment is. Come to think about it, I'm not entirely sure of the benefits bestowed by granting the Freedom of the City. The parade was popular, with thousands lining the route, applauding. I was at the back of the crowd, and had to do my best with zoomed shot from a camera held above my head.
