A full moon rises over the lights of Leicester and the surrounding towns and villages south of the city. The village of Huncote is in the foreground. This is taken from Croft Hill, eight miles from the city centre. During the day the urban sprawl does not seem to dominate the view, but at night your attention is drawn to the city lights, making the urban area seem closer to the Hill, as if the city uses the cover of darkness to creep closer to the surrounding countryside.
