Natural Lighting

If I can’t have warm sunny and dry, then I am quite content with ice and fog, with the hedgerows decorated with frost and berries shining through the grey like natural Christmas tree lights. I put the outdoor Christmas lights on one of the trees in our front garden today – a small flowering cherry just big enough for the lights to provide a display, but small enough for me to pull down the highest branches to secure the lights. I wonder why, when it came to putting away then lights during the previous January, that I decided that the safest way to store them is in a giant Granny Knot…

Haha! It's so funny wondering what state of mind you were in last Christmas when taking down the decorations! I just scrunched all my lights up in a muddle, somehow I think I was exhausted after the festivities!
