Not To Be Sniffed At

It’s always a challenge taking a photo like this. I kneel down, find a suitable subject, focus the camera, I briefly wish that I had a suitable macro lens, carefully compose the shot, and then a great big paw appears in the viewfinder, followed by an inquisitive nose, wondering what is so interesting about this particular patch of ground. Clearly there must be a fascinating smell somewhere – maybe if this boring frosty leaf is just nosed out the way for more extensive sniffing purposes…
That happens to me too!! I think they think you have just sniffed out something of interesting! Happens to Lucy, (@streetlyend) my daughter, too, check out her shot of cat on the pergola! This is a really successful shot, crisp and crunchy!
