The floods briefly drained over Christmas, but today are back. The dogs both love to run through the water, expending lots of energy with minimal effort on my part. I encourage such aquatic activity on the way home from a dog walk – it washes off the worst of the mud, leaving the necessity of just just a light hosing down when we get home. I’m so glad that all our walks are straight from home – I really wouldn’t like to have to bundle soggy doggies into the back of a car.
