This balloon drifted low over the power lines – it’s a good job that the pilot didn’t “lose his bottle” – an empty gas bottle at this point would have been a shocking experience. We get quite a few balloons drifting over us – a local company runs balloon trips from a leisure centre field half a mile across the fields behind us. This one came from a different direction, and headed off flying low over the hill, before descending behind it, no doubt for a good look at the quarry.
