Another glorious evening after another hot day. I must be careful – I might get used to this. I took this from a track up on the far side of a shallow valley behind our home. This time last year this dog walking route was impassable without waders, since the stream at the bottom of the valley regularly burst its banks to invade the fields on either side. The dogs loved it of course, splashing through the flood water to return home happy but smelling of wet dog. They probably preferred the cooler wet walkies, but I know which weather gets my vote.
