The views from the cottage where we stayed were constantly changing, thanks to the changing weather and light. Even when the sun was quite high in the sky, the steep slopes caused trees to throw long early morning shadows quite late into the day. I have never stayed anywhere with such a variety of outlooks, not just throughout the day, or hour to hour, but minute to minute. A potential shot could be missed in the time that it takes to take the camera out of its case.
