After the blustery conditions of Llandudno’s Great Orme summit, we headed for Llandudno’s traditional pier, where we promenaded to the end and back, as Victorians no doubt did. At the end of the pier fisherman were using rods for sea fishing, and we saw a dog-fish being landed, and, since dog fish are not generally considered to be a delicacy, subsequently thrown back into the sea. These youngsters were fishing from an adjacent jetty using just a simple line. On the horizon is the Gwynt y Môr wind farm, 160 offshore turbines (give or take a few, since it is still being developed)
I'm amazed at the wind farm! People seem to protest all the time about the look and they don't go ahead! It looks a great place to get that free energy!
