From Great Orme summit

Yesterday, having checked where the driest locations were during a somewhat damp Welsh holiday, we headed for Llandudno, to walk the dogs on “The Great Orme”, quite a large country park on a peninsular. At the summit we set off with the dogs, but it was not a long walk, since it was exceedingly windy, unpleasantly so, and difficult to stand. If the dogs were only a few yards in front they could not hear us call them, even on the lee side of the summit, and so we returned to the car, and spent a happy half hour or so leaning into the wind, setting a fast shutter speed to compensate for inevitable camera shake, and photographed low flying seagulls and the panoramic sea views.
majestic scene

What a great view. Fab sky and clouds and lovely mist over the hills.

Super view and dramatic sky. Love the Welsh coast in this sort of weather.

Miserable weather but you sure made the best of it. What a beautiful scene with that mist and the wide open feel.

What terrific lighting - as my father used to say if we complained about the rain, 'You only get wet once.'
