The dogs have appreciated this stream, situated half way round one of our favourite walks, during the recent warm weather. After a walk along the footpath that skirts the edge of the quarry, we descend steps to a gravel path that runs alongside the stream, and the dogs make their way down the bank for a cooling splash in the clear running water. This is a popular spot for dogs to cool off, and the low, but steep, bank has become a little muddy and slippery. This a bit too challenging for aging German Shepherd Lesia, who has to have a helping shove to assist her back up the bank onto the path, where both dogs, suitably refreshed, enjoy the stroll back homeward along the track through the wildlife area adjacent to the quarry.
