As is often the case, within a short walk from the car park at Surprise View, Derbyshire, the crowds had thinned, and those that just wanted to drive to an ice cream van with a view were left behind. I wouldn’t say that only serious walkers were left (after all, @shepherdmanswife was still with me), but we were among people for whom the walk was part of the experience. While @shepherdmanswife was photographing the extensive views, I was holding the dogs, and people watching. I noticed these two striding confidently down the track back towards the car park, when they suddenly stopped, apparently for a chat. Maybe they had just agreed that the first one back buys the ice creams, and this was a case of “After you Maude..” “Oh no, after you Ethel..”
I missed those two! Must have been busy eating ice-cream or setting up the tri-pod or taking in the view the other way! Well spotted and captured hubby.
Haha great commentary... love it... what a lovely place for 'Maude & Ethel' to walk.. I thought they had spades at first... really enjoying these Heather photo's.. something we do not have here... just have the odd plant on the side of the road.. I think ours flower late spring early summer.. fav
What a lovely image. The forest of trees in the background is great, the flowering fields are beautiful and see the two women talking is just wonderful. FAV
