The winter weather here is still delivering wind and rain, and I do have a representative image of a sodden farm track under stormy skies, with two inches of liquid mud, the consistency of porridge, some of which came home with the dogs, but I think this much more cheerful “proper” wintery scene taken soon after Christmas is much more appropriate. It is about time we had a proper dose of the white stuff, deep and crisp and even and so on. Apologies to those of you have more white stuff than you know what to do with, but at the moment I’d welcome it instead of cold grey wet and windy weather that we are having in the centre of the English Midlands. I must be getting old. Winter weather, of whatever variety, never bothered me in my youth, but now I yearn either for cold crisp and white, or mild and damp. Cold and wet doesn’t suit me at all.
Yes, this is a much more picture postcard shot of winter than mud. (Although mud is possibly much more common!!) There's no snow where I live so I can enjoy it vicariously through others' pictures
Beautiful image.... I think I ham with @salza on this one lovely for a short time but not good in the cold either... We are in a very mild part of NZ so never get anything like this here...
