I walked the dogs a little later yesterday, since I had been working the night before. As usual getting ready to leave was an excitable affair, with Tia running around in circles and generally squeaking with excitement until told to lie down. Lying down may keep her still, but does not stop the squeaking. It was at this point in the proceedings that I noticed that the morning sunshine was shining on the birds feeding just outside the kitchen window, and so to Tia’s frustrated disgust the exit from home was delayed as I stopped to take a photo, and then another. And the birds kept coming, and so I took a few more. Forget the pleasant chirping of birds enjoying the feeders. These images were accompanied by squeaky-whiney-grumbly noise from an impatient dog lying by the back door, wondering what on earth I was playing at when fields and sunshine were desperately calling from outside.
