Large islands of these wildflowers grown in waist high clumps in the more moist areas of our dog walks. A search in my British Wildlife book has established that this plant is a Vetch, probably a Tufted Vetch, or maybe a Common Vetch. Of course I could be more precise if only I carried my Complete Guide To British Wildlife with me at all times, but what with leads, dog-treats, poop-scoop bags and camera I have quite enough to carry. I will just have to continue rely on interpreting my photographs when we get home.
