Cows are back in the “Cows Field”, the field by the river that has a crop of hay mown before the summer bovine residents move in. The beasts are either heifers or bullocks – I must bend down and have a closer look when I am next strolling through the herd with Tia. This may be difficult since the herd are a curious crowd, and gently amble after us, heads down and snuffling as they sniff Tia’s scent. Tia is having none of this, alternative pulling ahead on her lead, before spinning around to face the foe with a bark. Incidentally walks are just with rescue dog Tia at present – elderly German Shepherd has a sore back and is very short very slow walks with @shepherdmanswife
