Having woken early(ish) in a hotel in Llangollen I explored the town before breakfast. The heritage railway station was not quite open for business, but was preparing for a steam railway gala later in the day. Beyond the station I could see black smoke rising into the sky, probably from the engine shed around the bend. No doubt the fire box of a locomotive was being stoked, raising steam to power the steam engine that would haul this train along the branch line. While waiting for engine, the carriages were being cleaned, and the station itself was slowly waking, as the first enthusiasts of the day wondered down onto the platform.
Nice shot and words. Llangollen is such a beautiful little town and the vintage steam railway is a great visitor attraction. Thanks for the memory, Fav!
