No red moon from me today. The alarm went off at 2.30am and @shepherdmanswife peered out of the curtains and reported that the earth’s shadow had merely nibbled at a perfectly white moon, and so the alarm was re-set and we snoozed for 30 minutes. 3.00am found @shepherdmanswife at the front bedroom window and me and my tripod at the front of the house, both glad that we have no street lights on our lane. I don’t get much practice at this sort of thing, and my images were rubbish. Well, one was OK I suppose, but not up to 365 standard. And so here is an image from last night, when we photographed the rising moon from Croft Hill. I turned around to see this more attractive heavenly body taking a break from photographing the moon to capture the sunset.
I just felt like there would be so many great shots I wasn't going to try it. Much earlier here - started at 9:30 pm but I am in bed usually by 8. I went out first at 10ish (I used the alarm in my head) and a few more times. But didn't shot. Finally when it was almost full I knew I could wake again so didn't see the red color. Did you. This now is a beautiful shot and a little different then all the moons.
