Rustic retreat by shepherdman

Rustic retreat

Satnav has its uses but I still carry maps in the car. Without a map we wouldn’t have discovered the steep winding single track country road through Welsh hills that definitely did not follow the most direct or quickest route to a tiny harbour, and we would not have discovered this rustic abode up in the hills before the road descended steeply to the village served by the harbour. Satnav does not encourage exploration.
A very creative soul must live here. Beautiful

Great find and capture. I love the crooked fence, reminds me of the nursery rhyme - There was a crooked man who live in a crooked house etc. :)

Bet this was a lovely drive - the only time I like the fast route (read that busiest and most traffic) would be in an emergency. Otherwise, give me these roads any day. Lovely colors and such an interesting building.
