We spotted this view from the road during a day trip in Wales. It looked a nice view to me, and I suggested that we stop, but @shepherdmanswife patiently explained that although it was indeed a very nice view, it would look much nicer on our return trip, enhanced by the light of the evening sun. She was, of course, quite right. The sky obligingly remained clear, and we times our homeward trip to arrive at this lake before sunset, allowing time for shots in the sunlight from this vantage point, and later some sunset shots from the end of the lake further along the road.
just curious - did you take a photo on the way as well? If the weather had turned on the way back you may have missed it altogether - sometimes it isn't about the perfect photo - sometimes it is about the memory - i believe this would be a beautiful scene at any time
