Cultivation

The field behind our home – I just liked the lines left by the disking and drilling. This was taken a few weeks ago – the field is now green with young cereal plants. My agro-knowledge isn’t good enough to know what it is until the seed heads appear, unless I happen to be around when the deed is drilled, in which case I can sneak a quick preview by reading the label on the sacks of seed stacked around the field edge. The green spikes of young cereal plants are interspersed with “volunteers” from last years crop, young bean plants not only growing in the field, but also in the grassy field edges. Presumably the crop will be sprayed at some point to kill the unwanted plants, which will become has-beans….
A great pattern created by the ploughing :)
