Apologies for repeating yesterday’s theme, but it rare that I manage a moon-shot that is more than just a blob of yellow behind a fuzzy foreground! This was taken just a couple of minutes after yesterday’s moon rise shot. Like a sunrise, a moon rise seems to launch the orb into the air above the horizon, the moon rapidly ascending for the first few minutes before settling into a slow and steady arc across the sky. This visual illusion, for illusion it must be, is presumably because the rising moon apparently overtakes the horizon, together with more earthbound landmarks. Except of course that the horizon is, in fact rapidly descending past the moon. I think. How confusing.
I love Moon shots anyway, but nice that you have included some foreground interest
