Hung out to dry?

Anoter shot from the Pacific Trail, Vancouver Island. I have no idea why these flags (or washing?) had been hung out for. It was close to a lighthouse - maybe the lighthouse keeper had been entertaining, and had the guest's towels to launder.

I love the colours in this shot, the material on the line there reminds me of Tibetan prayer flags!

I had the same thought as @natashajhill. This would be such a wonderful place to spend a little time in meditation and prayer.

This is a peace flag, they are hung up around people's yards around the island, but I have seen them more in other countries. A lot of yogi friends have them.
