Paddle boards seem to be quite common in Canada, at least they are in the parts of coastal Western Canada that we visited. We never see them in the UK, which is a shame, since it looks fun. Our friend who we stayed with had a couple of paddle boards and we had a tentative plan to take them to a local lake, but the plan never came to fruition. Maybe next time. This boarder was off Mackenzie Beach, Tofino, Vancouver Island.
You need flat water for these and not often found in some parts of the world. We see them within the shelter of the harbour which could be in England too!
Saw my first this spring during a canoe race down the Mulberry River - now I see pictures of them everywhere. Sure was confused when I first saw the guy coming down river! Nice in b&w
fabulous silhouette... it's really popular now, more so than kayaking even. I am too chicken to try it in these freezing temps, we have gone out in Mexico though, where when you fall, nbd.
