Settling fog by shepherdman

Settling fog

Another foggy morning, perhaps unsurprising at this time of the year. More fog that mist this morning, distinctly gloomy down by the river, and also distinctly chilly despite the easterly wind dropping, a morning for gloves, the first time this season. It was only when I climbed up out of the fog, and the sky brightened that the fog coalesced into a misty layer skirting the village of Huncote. By the time that I was cycling to work the mist was dispersing under a bright orange sun and glowing sky.
This might be the natural colour or you might have chosen a golden sepia. Whichever - it is lovely - even in the low light you can see the houses! fav

@maggiemae It was how the camera saw it - no time to play around with white balance! But it was distinctly sepia as it was just before sunrise

I like the way the bushes are just emerging from the fog

Like others, I like the tone of the photo and how the vegetation sort of erupts from the fog.

Like the tones you got in your processing - fog does neat things to a scene.
