It is a season of greys and browns, as well as mellow fruitulness. It looks somewhat depressing, but in fact this morning walk last weekend was peaceful and tranquil, with few people about, just the occasional dog walker to exchange a bright "Good Morning!", as the dogs did the same in their own doggy way, noses going where dog noses go when dogs politely say "How Do You Do?", before we all carried on our way, once again enveloped in the peace of quiet autumn day.
