Shipley Glen, Yorkshire, just a few minutes from my sister's home, where open moorland borders a rocky wooded valley, with a beck (as they would say in Yorkshire - brook in Leicestershire, creek on the far side of the Big Pond) at the valley bottom. The beck descended a narrow ravine to the River Aire, and the Shipley Glen Tramway, the oldest funicular tramway in the UK, transports tourists down the ravine to Saltaire, the Quaker village on the far side of the Aire. While @shepherdmanswife and my sister stayed on the open moorland, Tia and I followed a path down to the beck, before climbing back up to the rocks at the edge of the moor. As we climbed a sweet smell dominated the fresh Yorkshire air, and Tia surprised a couple of teenagers behind a large boulder, enjoying a quiet moment with their own particular brand of roll-up.
