At High Noon a group of us met for our annual New Years Day clay pigeon shoot, as we have done for many years. There was a time when the first shot had us all nursing our aching heads and reaching for the paracetamol before we retired to the barn for a BBQ and a hair of the dog. Nowadays our New Years Eve celebrations are more circumspect, and our BBQ is accompanied by quantities of tea and coffee. Happy New Year all.
