I don't like cows since I was chased across a field by a herd of them. It was very scary. I'd always thought of them as gentle creatures who would move away if you walked towards them or waved your arms at them. Not that lot!!! They came towards us and were not afraid of us shouting and waving at them. We were surrounded, being pushed and shoved by them. We had 2 dogs on leads with us and 2 children. We were rescued by someone who let us into his garden that backed onto the cows field. We now know that cows with calves become very protective and can attack, and there are records of people having been trampled to death! So, I was safely standing behind a gate when I took this photo!
