I have been waiting so long for our cherries to ripen. We planted the tree 2 years ago and it gave us quite a bit of fruit the first year which was shared with birds, until I netted the fruit, then wasps that were merrily feeding away on the cherries under the netting! Last year was such a bad year weatherwise. No cherries, plums or apples! This year the fruit is in abundance again. Yipppee!
