Filigree Hydrangea by shepherdmanswife

Filigree Hydrangea

Our hydrangea glowers have gone brown and are starting to rot away and leave their skeleton behind for the time being.
All very sad, but the new buds have already grown quite tall amongst the old and dying. See them together @shepherdmanswife/other-things/2013-12-15
That's a very nice close-up, the detail is fantastic, will give you a FAV for this capture.

Hydrangeas are one of my favourite flowers, but I won't buy them from the florist anymore because they die within a day or 2. Beautiful capture.....love the clarity....fav for me :-)

I love dead hydrangea flowers for just this, their lovely veining which becomes more visible in death. The hydrangeas around here also have fat buds on them, as if they are already waiting impatiently for spring. This is a fav for me.
