I went to my local photography club 18% Grey Photography Club last night to find out how to do time lapse photography and to hand in my exhibits for the exhibition that starts this coming Saturday until the middle of May in Leicester.
This is in the City centre so you can imagine how amazed I was to see this Mistlethrush just 5 feet away from me in the car park. she was so tame and allowed me to take several photos of her as she pecked around looking for food.
I live in the countryside and have never seen a Mistle thrush in my garden or on our dog walks, so to see one so close in the City was amazing!
Beautiful detail - I've just watched a quick Youtube clip about the difference between song thrushes and mistle thrushes - very interesting! Amazing what you can learn doing this Project.
I love thrushes. We raised a couple of young ones that fell from a nest, and released them when they could look after themselves. quite an emotional moment.
A lovely capture of a beautiful and unusual bird. Isn't this the bird mentioned in The Secret Garden, when Dickon leaves a drawing of a bird for Mary, to tell her that he'll keep the secret of the gardenjust as he would the secret of a mistle thrush's nesting place?
