It's my birthday today and as a treat I went to the Peak District yesterday on a Landscape photography course. This was taken at Cressbrook Dale at 7.30 pm. The sky was overcast with just a few breaks in the cloud. We sat for about 3/4 of an hour waiting for the sun to break through to light the hill and foreground tree. Well worth the wait!
This shot is SOOC.
For anyone in the UK who wants to do a Landscape course I can highly recommend Chris Gilbert. Check out his website www.ravenseyegallery.co.uk
Beautiful shot. Were there many orchids there? I haven't had chance to pop over there yet. It's one of the orchid hotspots but some years are better than others and I've heard this year isn't as good.
eerie and stunning all in one shot...... and Im agreeing with http://365project.org/joeymc Im expecting an army to come over that hill any time on horses
Happy Birthday and so great to take a course on it, doing something so rewarding. This is just stunning, worth several FAVs from me. Thanks for the guys website too, someday I want to get to England and how fun would it be to do his workshop at the same time. Your work is always stunning anyway, Chantal. So beautiful.
I've just seen this shot again through Chris Gilbert :) Should have guessed it was one of his courses, hope it was a good day, I've thought about going on one myself.
