Colwyn Bay Pier on the North Welsh coast has a fence all the way around it to stop people from going on or underneath it. Such a shame to let it get into such disrepair that it has to be demolished. Don't they realise it is our history that is being thrown away?
I find it so sad.
It seems that wherever one lives we find there is no respect for aged buildings. Instead of renovation it is "Tear Down, Rebuildl". Your photo is lovely and the processing is great. fav
That is a real shame.....once these buildings are torn down they only remain in people's memories and in photographs.....sometimes you get concerned citizens who start a restoration effort, and some of these are successful around here, but it does take a lot of work and dedication. I hope this becomes a catalyst for something like that.
Have to fav this one. My husband was born in Colwyn Bay. So sad to hear that the pier is to be demolished. David said he used to go to pantomimes there when he was a child.
