Jacko by shepherdmanswife

Jacko

The crow. He is a tame crow that was reared by humans. He has fits and rolls around damaging his wings. As you can see from the photo, he has very short feathers and so can't fly. He lives on the sheep farm that we visited this weekend and follows the farmer everywhere. He just hops around. I am told he is really naughty and steals things. He has a good life. The farmer feeds him and has provided an aviary, whose door is open all day long so he can go walk-about, but is shut in at night so the foxes don't get him. He certainly is a character.

Thank you everyone who got my photo to the number one spot on the top twenty this week. That was a wonderful surprise.
What a great character!

He sounds like something of a character for sure! Think he has that farmer wrapped up!

Amazing how they survive, we have a wagtail that comes into my kitchen for cheese. He has only one leg but hops around onit.

Splendid portrait! Good that you have featured a bird that many overlook as a photo subject. I like all the corvid... amazing intelligence for such small brains. I imagine that the concept of theft doesn't mean much to him!
