This beauty was chirping away at me. I thought this was a Robin with no red breast so assumed either a female or juvenile. Thanks to Mark Prince who has advised me that this is a young Dunnock. So nice to see one of these in my garden.
Lovely capture, Chantal, but it's not a Robin. It's a Dunnock, which do have quite a loud and cheerful song. Like Robins, both sexes of Dunnock's look alike, I am not sure if this one is not one of this years early youngsters, on his way to gaining full adult plumage.
@markp Thank you Mark. I did wonder if it was a Dunnock. Nice to know they visit my garden. Have only seen one from a bird hide before this one. I think it must be a juvenile.
