Bee

This bee was high up in a tree we have in the garden. We have no idea what the tree is called but it has an absolutely beautiful display of flowers this time of year that the bees love.
fabulous timing

Beautiful bee capture! I think that might "bee" either a black locust or a honey locust tree. We saw one in the woods yesterday, except the blossoms were lavender-colored. I had to look it up as it intrigued me. It was a very small tree and all the limbs (and the trunk) were covered with tiny, hairy-looking thorns. https://fragrantearth.wordpress.com/2014/05/13/black-locust-and-honey-locust/

Just found the one we saw yesterday - bristly locust. Who knew there were so many different kinds of locust trees! ;)

@juliedduncan we have looked it up and think that it is a Black Locust but it is native to USA and we are in UK. But I'm sure that's what it is. It is a beautiful tree and I'm glad it's in our garden.

@shepherdmanswife That's good - you won't have to deal with the thorns! Ha ha! :)
