What am I?

I'd love one of these as a pet!

The Patagonian Mara is a relatively large rodent in the Mara genus Dolichotis. It is also known as the Patagonian cavy, Patagonian hare, or dillaby. This herbivorous, somewhat rabbit-like animal is found in open and semiopen habitats in Argentina, including large parts of Patagonia. Wikipedia

Thank you to those of you who recognised it as a Mara.

Lovely shot. I worked at Twycross Zoo years ago. I had a real soft spot for the maras and the capybaras.

When I see maras I think of the word 'stot' because I hadn't heard it before and it's something they do....... if my memory serves me correctly.
