Sleepy Tawny

I was out looking for Barn Owls and had given up and was on our way home when I spotted this sleepy head sat on a post at the side of the lane in a garden. He sat there for quite some time while we took our photos of it. I just couldn't believe it. Just goes to show that you must keep your eyes open at all times on the countryside, even when driving!

Isn’t it wonderful when something like this happens? Years ago, hubby, a friend and I watched a sleepy Tawny watching us for half an hour. No cameras except instamatic in those long ago days
