Thought I'd lighten up a little especially since I'm feeling lighter. This egret is from the heron/egret series from last week. I don't believe he was the one run off by the heron, but same location, same evening. I've been working hard on getting good shots of all these big marsh birds. Have finally gotten halfway dependable when they're on land. Now starting to get some decent ones as they fly. Don't know why I'm so obsessed with these guys, but it's a serious victory to me to get good shots of them! This is not a tack sharp photo by any means, but it's one of the better ones I've caught. Just had to share it.
Thank you all so much for bearing with me as I bared my soul over the past couple days. It's been very therapeutic for me, and your comments have warmed my heart!
Lovely action shot, it may not be the sharpest photo, but the light on the egret and the position of his wings really gives a sense of hope.
glad that 365 has been therapeutic for you. It was for me after my daughter passed away too. We all get such support from our fellow photographers on this amazing site.
Your being "obsessed" with the water fowl is the sign of your being a photographer at heart, wanting to get the shots right and at their best. Congrats on this great in-flight photo. Beautiful lighting the sun gave you.
Pleased to hear that Ashley and I agree this is such a supportive community, always ready with kind words to help lift us when we are down. The light is lovely here.
