My get pushed challenge from Mumswaby for last week was a triptych that told a story. This was taken on Sunday, the final day of the challenge, but not posted until Wednesday due to traveling home, payroll, and the flu. Nonetheless, here it is. I think the final picture is a half a second too late to see that Valerie had pushed the pumpkin over and was falling. Mom caught her in time to prevent another busted lip, but the camera caught her just a second too late to actually show the real story.
Bless her heart, she busted her lip on the stone hearth Saturday. You can see the damage if you look close. And Garrit, that little eagle eye who picks up EVERYTHING, got his hands on some fly trap glue stick thing. Pretty sure he ate a fly a two before mom got it out of his hands! UGH!!! They're so busy and MOBILE now!
Due to Hurricane Juaquin postponing my trip a couple weeks ago, it's been 6 weeks since I've seen these precious angels. I have MISSED THEM! My biggest fear of living so far away has been that they would not remember me. But I found out this weekend that all the time I have put in, the trips every 3 - 4 weeks, the quality of the time I have put in when with them - being with them all day, feeding them all night - has paid off. They knew EXACTLY who I was, even after 6 weeks, and came to me with smiles and no trepidation at all! Talk about making a Nana's heart soar!!!
