She climbed to the top of the mountain clutching her handful of dandelions, and when she finally reached the top she jumped up and down exclaiming, "I did it! I did it!"
The idea for processing this one percolated in my brain for a few days before I actually got the chance to work on it. I first had to reformat my laptop (Ugh! Still not working at peak performance!), then redownload everything, then finally got back to being able to actually DO it, then processed it but decided to sleep on it because it just wasn't what I envisioned, then reprocessed it and think I finally fell in love with the end result.
This one required a sky replacement, which was a first for me. I replaced the sky BEHIND her with the sky that was ABOVE her in this photo. The sky behind her was mostly a big, beautiful white cloud, but after cropping and processing, it just left a bland white background. So I moved the blue, which still included some of the clouds, and that seemed to make the background much more interesting. The process that I used to accomplish that required that I do some selecting of her, and I don't feel like I got her hair very well. It doesn't seem like you can see the curls that come off of her head very well. Oh well.
This also wasn't a very sharp photo, but it was definitely a case of content over quality!!!
I love the way you have processed this photo and well done for climbing the mountain. She looks so pleased with herself, this shot really tells a story.
