April 18 is hubby’s birthday AND my firstborn’s birthday! Milestones for both of them this year - hubby is officially eligible to join AARP now, HAHAHAHA, and my firstborn is now finally the age he claimed I was when he was in kindergarten! For Mother’s Day that year, they filled out a little sheet where they gave THEIR answers to questions about their moms. I don’t remember all the questions, but 2 of his answers really stood out: He said my favorite food was Kentucky Fried Chicken - don’t know where he came up with that because we never went there - and he said I was 33 years old - WHAAATT??? I was 25!!!! But I laughed and LOVED it! And I regret that I don’t still have that little gift from him!
Anyway, some nacho cheese dip found its way into our house last week which made me crave a Margarita, so hubby made sure we had the supplies for the weekend. THEN I found out that the YouTube channel The Show Must Go On was broadcasting the 2011 25th Anniversary production of Phantom of the Opera performed at Royal Albert Hall free on YouTube this weekend only. SO! Hubby and I had a little date night for his birthday after we put the kids to bed! And can I just say, I’ve seen a couple different performances of Phantom, but this performance was far and above THE ABSOLUTE BEST performance I’ve ever seen!!! I was in tears several times throughout the performance, and when it was finally over, I was WRUNG OUT ... RAW ... SPENT!!!! My head and my heart just wanted to stand up and CHEER!!! Absolutely incredible performance!
And the margaritas were pretty good too!
BTW - photo was taken on the NEW kitchen counters - the ones attached to that new kitchen we spent November, December, and January renovating DIY style!
I wish I could come South and see your new kitchen. But I am thinking that as the years go by I feel less like I can drive that far alone any more. I had hoped to do some Maine trips this year but have about given up on that idea. But I have cleaned upstairs and if the 4 of you ever want a free room and board situation to visit Maine it will be ready for you. That is what I talked to my niece about every time we worked on it. A room for you and DH and another for the twins. You would love my deck in summer or my porch in fall.
@joansmor That is a wonderful idea indeed! And very inviting since I missed my trip north back in 2016 right before the babies came to live with us ... we just might have to take you up on that one!
