This is a collage of a few things in our nearest town. Appleby. The top left is of the gates to the castle. Top right is the top cross looking down the main street. Bottom left the bottom cross, cloisters and St Andrews church. The bottom right is some of the architecture of the building which houses Barclays bank. The center is a view of the town nestled at the foot of the Pennines. Next week this lovely little town will be host to the annual Gypsy Horse Fair.
Impressive looking building. I like how you explained the different views in your collage. looking forward to some picture of the annual Gypsy Horse Fair.
@steeler@stiggle@flowerfairyann Thank you for taking your time to look at and comment on my collage. @bruni sorry but you won't be seeing any photos of the Horse Fair from me I'm afraid. We stay as far away from Appleby as possible whilst the fair is on.
@koalagardens@milaniet@hermann@peterlgrave@barb_b Thanks all for your comments. Appleby used to be the county town of Westmorland before we became Cumbria. It becomes extremely busy and dirty during the horse fair plus you can hardly get a park and if you do want to park have to pay a fortune to do so, these are the reasons we avoid it during next week. It can also take nearly an hour to get into the town because of traffic.
