I now have this rose growing in my garden. It is a cutting from one in my Mothers garden, which I can remember from being a little girl. Years ago an old lady who lived in the village I grew up in told us it was a very old fashioned rose and is the original English rose. I wish computers had a scratch and smell function because the scent from these roses is beautiful.
I have always said I wish we had "smell - a - vision" on our computers!!! I'm sure I can smell this rose though!! It's so beautifully taken that the smell just radiates through my computer!! FAV! How nice to have something from your mother's garden growing in yours!
Its often the old rose types that have the good smell! Unfortunately most of my old roses are almost dead. Yours shows that they can be still beautiful even after all these years but then it might be due to the cutting! Well done!
