Spotted this and another bike in the center of Penrith today. Every part of them was covered with wool, either knitting, crocheting or just plane wrapped. All the flowers and other embellishments were also done in wool. They have been placed to mark the fact the Aviva Tour of Britain bike race will pass through Penrith.
Crazy looking- but colorful! At first I thought it was one of those "random acts of knitting things" where they knit around trees and other stuff. What a pretty advertisement for the upcoming race!
A nice welcoming sign for the racing biker coming through this place. can't imagine the hours spent to get everything knitted to dress up a bike this way. great find.
