At last we have finished harvest. These were the last of the straw bales which were to load and bring home. We would have got them home yesterday except the fog we had all day made them damp on the top which is not good to stack them when they are like that so we have been lucky today has been good and they have got dried up again. Especially when the forecast for tomorrow is for rain. The dog in the picture is our working sheep dog Peggy.
I thought Peggy was being the Supervisor! Glad you got the last bales finished and hope you were able to get them all up. Agriculture is so ruled by the weather and not much you can do about it. Must be tough.
@memoriesbydawn@milaniet@onewing@bruni@kimdavis@sueb47@hermann@stiggle@tunia@lavenderhouse@gijsje@flowerfairyann Thank you all for your lovely comments. Yes it is a relief to get all the crop in for the winter. Peggy had been charging around for a while and I think she was looking at us to go and play with her. Malcolm, you are right it is the same field I took the shot of the combining in - looking the other way though. The field is a 41/2 acre field so not too big really. Thank you also Malcolm for all the lovely recent comments on my other photographs.
